Quest into the unknown indeed....!!!!

Well my health situation just took another twist and the prostate cancer has taken a jump from wherever the little bastard was lurking onto my spine.

The good news is I am on the right treatment for it, a drug cocktail that has relatively painless but annoying side-effects and I think we can keep it slow growing if not gone. Or so my doc says...

I don't want to get into details much but I really don't know whether I will keep a blog going or just take it down....

I hate reading about or listening to someone's health care drama and I think maybe you do too. If I find that it becomes a primary thing in my life I may close up blog-shop but if not...maybe just hang in there....

Keep to the trail...or wait, screw it,  head out across country, just enjoy your day.....

  1. Saddened to hear of your health issues.

Please keep blogging, yours is one of the best journals out there.

I hope your new cocktail works, the cancer is defeated, and you have many more years of adventures to come.

    1. Thanks Dr. Dave, I am grateful for your warm thoughts.

I feel pretty remiss in keeping up posting already but if it may help others, I will continue posting as this all plays out. It is very kind of you to say that about my blog.

We are in this together and no one gets out alive so I have always thought communication at any level is valuable while we are here in this meat suit...

      Thanks again and be well,

Love and light as my friend JP always says...

  3. Sorry Brian, Will say prayers for you to get totally well. But here is some info, take it with a grain of salt or laugh, whatever, but I just came across this recently, thought maybe it's for you, maybe not!

    1. Sip two tablespoons of quality extra virgin olive oil daily.

This practice may help increase arterial elasticity and decrease vascular stress to the arteries, reducing the risk of heart disease and heart attacks. Sipping a little olive oil daily can help control blood pressure levels and inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

  4. Thanks Bob...very much appreciated. and thanks for the info...it sure can't hurt and I like olive oil. I continually fight my sugar addiction since that is supposed to drive and feed cancer but have limited success....oh well. As I read recently, "embrace your old age since many don't get the luxury".

For phuck's sake, I am 69 and as Geo. Carlin says...an old phuck! I have outlived many of my friends and acquaintances, many of who had a lot more to offer than I. It is all gravy at this point and I am ready to be done whenever Creator is done with me. I say this not as dramatic hyperbole but as heartfelt feeling.

I do believe in the old ways of elders carrying the wisdom and traditions and passing it to the younger but there becomes a time when they are just taking up too much of everything...then they need to let go.

    Peace, Love and Light,
    MWB

  5. Best of luck with your health issues. I know no one gets out alive but we all seem to like to torture ourselves by sticking around as long as possible. What can I say, people are strange!
