Change up.....

Hi friends,
I made an interesting change the other day. I withdrew from my online vandwelling forum involvement and I deleted my Facebook account.

I am feeling a bit of a disconnect from my present and I am finding these things too much distraction. I tend to easily get caught up in politics and right now this seems to come from all sides....again, I think it is a distraction.....from what we are doing in and to the world. This "we" is a big, all inclusive..."we"....and I need to grasp firmly my part of it and take a good hard look and see where I can improve.

I have been doing some studying and researching and while I have no idea what the future will bring, I feel a huge pull toward the spiritual and my own particular path and the practice involved. Of course that happens in the present.

As I journey through life, I have found that when I am hearing the same thoughts, ideas and concepts from many sources, it is time to take notice and see how what I hear may either affect me, or what I can do in regards to what I am hearing...to maybe be of service...at least pay attention..lol.

I know this is esoteric and oblique, but I am not comfortable enough with what I am experiencing to name it yet. That may come later but meanwhile, I am urged outside, to look up and see what manifests as I pass along in my daily moment....

I will make the effort to post more often. I am amazed at the good blogs I follow....I am really enjoying The Adventures of Tioga and George, and Glenn Morrisette's
To Simplify. Both men are bloggers supreme and let us into their days and minds as they go along their paths...George in Mexico with  a Class C Tioga and Glenn in the states with his Chinook Class C.

Happy trails to you all and  God speed,
ManyWheelsBri

  5. BroBri... those thoughts are familiar to me as well. Being in a work situation all summer with no internet has clarified some things for me as well. Even blogging has issues... as some readers/followers get the idea/feeling that because you are publically telling your story, they (the readers/followers) are entitled to just pop up in your life uninvited. RVSue has had that happen to a great extent than I have, but still I was careful this summer NOT to give out my work location. So, as will the forums, when you blog you kinda give out the message that "Here I am... take a piece of me!!!" And ONE huge lesson I have learned this summer is that there are some people out there who feel "entitled" to do that... or whatever they darned well please regardless of rules others must follow.

I thought I would miss the internet and cell service, but I really have not. Getting on line once a month for a few hours is really good enough for me. I probably won't give up FB but I find it aggrivating in that when I do go back to check up on family members, etc., many of the posts (unlike my blog) are deleted before I get a chance to see them. So, FB serves little purpose for me other than the fact that I have given family members a way to check on each other by setting up the FB page and friending them all.
Best wishes in the change up!

  7. Bri... I quoted you today on my blog... http://swankiewheels.blogspot.com/2012/09/changing-up-thanks-astrobri.html, hope you don't mind.

Right, it's not others, it's how I react to them, which often - BADLY. But I am more mellow than I used to be, thank goodness for that at least.

  8. Hi Char....I don't mind at all and you made a good post...I checked it out...

Yeah me too on the reaction stuff...but like you I AM getting better.

Char, just since I have known you , you have blossomed into an amazing Charlene! You have changed more than anyone I know in the vandwelling world....the truly amazing thing is notthat, but that you are doing this in your later years...many people just get worse and worse...I actually use you as an example...not by name but by deeds when I am encouraging someone. You ar epretty inspirational...
    Keep on keeping on....
